Mockery

It had been long time i didn't get oppurtunity to travel by means of train. So i made sure i travel to tirupathi through train.i always loved to stand near the door of the compartment and peep out.As usual, i and my dad were standing near the door and observing the scenery around.Meanwhile a kid came to use the toilet.Barely a minute or so , a lady came  running with mineral water bottle
and handed it over to kid and said "dear don't use the tap water to wash, please use the mineral water ". After half an hour or so another lady wearing  soiled ,torn clothes  came with a child in her arms and a empty bottle in her hand. She filled the bottle with water coming from tap near hand basin and gave child to drink. I was mute watching the  contrast of the life.

Communalism-The Enemy within...

Within span of two and half months ,we already had more than four bandh's in mangalore. Its all not for any healthy reason nor for the fight against injustice. Its all due to "COMMUNAL CONFLICTS".

When i was new to this city i found the people are most friendly and always greet you with big smile..But later i started getting the taste of other bad part of it. It doesn't take much time here to start a communal riot. Fortnight before, there was bandh, and the reason was a bus which passed over a puddle of mud caused a splash of water spill on a car nearby. The driver of bus and owner of car belonged to different faith. The owner of that car's anger lead to death of the driver of bus and subsequent bandh. Is this a worth cause to kill someone??

Today, again there is communal tension prevailing around in city..These riots are supported by group of blind fanatics who keep calling themselves as protector of religion. Most of them are young healthy men. These men are utilized and maintained by political leaders to create issues. Some people argue that they are not supported by political leaders. But just think if they are not given financial support, will these men leave all work ,keep their family to starve, fight for no reason on name of religion?? There are many issues to be fought for, many which cause so much of harm to them(no water, power) .But they don't fight for it.Why is it so..??Why only in name of religion they fight .

I can't understand how can one protect their faith by slaughtering other men recklessly. I wish these men understand and follow the teachings of their respective religion.I am sure no religion promotes violence.Hope to see this beautiful city in harmony very soon.

NAG PANCHMI ..

Naga Panchami is the festival of snakes celebrated on the fifth day of the fortnight in the month of Shravan. The festival of Naga Panchami is celebrated by Hindus to pay respect to Nagas. The five Nagas worshipped on Nag Panchami are Ananta, Vasuki, Taxak, Karkotaka and PingalaNag .Panchami day the victory of Krishna over the Kaliya snake is commemorated.
There also a legend as follows.. a farmer accidentally killed some young serpents while tilling his land. The mother of these serpents took revenge by biting and killing the farmer and his family, except one daughter, who happened to be praying to the Nagas..Pleased by devotion of daughter , family members were forgiven and got their life back.
This is first nag panchmi I couldn’t celebrate as I had to go to office..Missing some moments in life..Kuch pane ke liye kuch khona padhtha hai..:) Above pic is last year’s snap I took at my granny’s place.

BEING LITTLE FEMINIST..

''Software engineer commits suicide (Bangalore) ''…was the heading ,I saw as soon as I opened the second page of newspaper. Guess what could be the reason??? She was harassed for Dowry!! Pathetic!! We speak about technology, progress, spaceship but some customs, ideology prevailing compell’s us to think “ Are we really on path to progress or its just an illusion???” Why do Indian girls need to pay such heavy dowry?? Are they paying for being girl?? If educated class of society can’t understand that its inhumane to harass the women for dowry then just visualize the scenario in a house of uneducated ??? what could be plight of lady?? Guys, where are your humanity dead asleep??
On the other side..…Is our education system appropriate?? I feel we are not educated we are just given key to earn money!! Where are the ethics incalculated ?? From childhood we are taught to solve problems that had definite boundaries, values ,solutions. But problems in life don’t have right or wrong solutions . Is committing suicide the only way to solve problems in life?? By committing suicide she has done grave mistake .Gave up the life for a person who didn’t deserve it!!!

SOLAR ECLIPSE

A Solar Eclipse willl only be observed during a New Moon .As the Moon becomes aligned between the Earth and the Sun,it is capable of blocking the Sun's rays and casting a shadow on the Earth. When the photosphere of the Sun is completely covered by the Moon, then "totality" begins. Just before totality, the last flash of sunlight occurs, what is called the diamond ring effect.During a totality, the corona, chromosphere, solar prominences, and maybe even a solar flare can possibly be seen, when using proper equipment. For any given location on Earth, a total solar eclipse happens about once every 375 years.
The total solar eclipse on August 1, 2008, classified as a magnitude of 1.039, has a maximum width of about 150 miles (240 kilometers). After beginning in the far northern reaches of Canada, the total solar eclipse will go northeast across northern Greenland and the Arctic, followed by a southeastern passage through the middle of Russia, Mongolia, and China.
The people in India will witness a partial solar eclipse on Aug 1. The eclipse in Delhi begins at 16:03:03 and ends at 17:56:07. The maximum of eclipse occurs at 17:02:05, when the sun is eclipsed by about 62.4 percent in diameter. A partial solar eclipse will be seen across most of northeastern North America, most of Europe and much of Asia. Partial solar eclipses happen about seven times per decade, on average, for any geographical location on Earth.
The safest way of viewing a partial solar eclipse is through the method of projection. The Sun can be viewed directly only when using filters specifically designed for this purpose. Such filters usually have a thin layer of aluminum, chromium or silver deposited on their surfaces that attenuates ultraviolet, visible, and infrared energy. One of the most widely available filters for safe solar viewing is a number 14 welder's glass, available through welding supply outlets. More recently, aluminized mylar has become a popular, inexpensive alternative.
